Gabrielle Mogenet began her career by studying textile design at Ensad (2017-2019) in Paris. This first part of her studies allowed her to acquire a taste for experimenting with textiles as an autonomous means of expression. Passionate about music, it is also during this textile curriculum that synesthesia and musical notation begin to appear in her work. In 2019, she leaves for an Erasmus exchange in Brussels and joins the painting section of La Cambre. This training in painting marks a turning point in her work, and shifts her artistic approach towards questionings related to the notion of fantasy, of mental images governed by the experience of listening. Gabrielle was confronted with the full power of the large format, the notion of form and benefits from a great flexibility in the development of her research. Gabriella graduated in June 2022 from La Cambre in visual arts and pursues her artistic practice now as a painter and visual artist.
