What does DEMAIN stand for?

DEMAIN is a project of two women with a passion for art who want to make quality art accessible to all. We support the Belgian local art scene by collaborating with emerging artists. We personally assist you in discovering and buying art. Read more about DEMAIN on our About page

How is DEMAIN different from galleries?

We act in the pre-gallery period: a crucial moment in an artist's career where buying a work can make a real difference: 60% of the sale proceeds get paid out directly to the artist. With your support, artists can focus on developing further their practice.

DEMAIN also believes in the incredible power of meeting the artist in his studio to discover the story behind the artworks. Buying a work becomes a memory of an immersive experience. 

How do you select the artists you work with?

Through our expertise and network, we carefully select artists who may well define the art scene of tomorrow. Quality is our first criteria. We take the time to meet the artists and understand the artistic process.

Can I visit DEMAIN headquarter?

Visits in our HQ are on appointment only. We are more than happy to welcome you in our intimate office that has some artworks on display.

Do you have physical space where we can see the artworks?

Unfortunately, we don’t have a fix space, but we do organise exhibitions in collaboration with partners. You can find the list of events here.

Do you have other artworks available?

We only show a selection of artworks on our platform.

There are no works for sale by an artist I'm interested in. What do I do?

If no works are available by a given artist, you can contact the team so we keep you updated as soon as a work becomes available. Contact the team

How can I buy an artwork?

You can confirm a purchase via our platform, by reaching out to the team or directly in the artists’ studio.

What is the price range of the works?

Quality is our first criteria. However prices remain accessible: we offer works at studio prices, starting at € 450 going up to maximum € 10.000.

Do I receive a proof of authenticity?

Yes, at DEMAIN, each work is accompanied by an authenticity certificate.

Can I meet the artists?

Absolutely! DEMAIN loves to built bridges and connect artist and art lover. Who knows, it could be the start of an authentic long-term journey between collector and artist.

I’m not sure how an artwork will look in my home or office space. Can I see the artwork in my home?

If you are not sure about how an artwork will look in your private or professional space, DEMAIN offers the possibility of coming to you and presenting the artwork(s) in your home or office. Reach out to the team to talk specifics: from connection to collection

Do you commission works?

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! Milestones and celebrations deserve a unique gift that lasts a lifetime. Why not surprise your beloved ones with a DEMAIN Gift Card to help them find their next art crush?

The DEMAIN Gift Cards are valid on all artworks on our platform and for a duration of 12 months. The pre-set amounts (€ 250 - € 500 - € 750) can be bought directly on the website. Get in touch with the team for a different amount: info@demainart.com

Do you offer leasing of artworks?

What forms of payment do you accept on the platform?

We accept wire transfer, stripe, VISA, MasterCard and American Express.

Are taxes and duties included in my order total?

How do I pay with a gift card?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept gift cards on the website (yet). To purchase an artwork with a gift card, please get in touch with the team: Contact the team

What can I do if my payment is declined?

We recommend checking that your card's billing details (such as the security code and zip code) match what you’ve entered into our system, and that your card is not expired.

Your card issuer may have declined your payment. They don’t tell us the reason for this, so it’s best to check with them before trying your card again. If none of these apply, please contact us at info@demainart.com. We’re happy to help!

How do I receive my artwork after purchase?

Clients can pick up the artwork directly in the studio of the artist. One of our team members will get in touch with you to set up an appointment.
